Understanding Our Return Policy for Automotive Parts, Including Autometer OBD2

We’ve designed our policy to be fair and transparent, allowing returns under specific conditions to maintain the quality and integrity of our products. Please take a moment to review the following guidelines to ensure a smooth return process.

General Return Conditions

To initiate a return, authorization is required and must be requested within 30 days from your original order date. This timeframe allows us to efficiently process returns and manage our inventory. Please note that returns made without prior authorization may not be accepted.

Final Sale Items

Certain items are considered final sale and are not eligible for returns. This category includes:

  • OEM Factory Parts: All Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, including those from GM, Holden, and other automotive manufacturers, are final sale. These parts are often specifically sourced and are subject to the manufacturers’ terms.
  • Special and Custom Orders: Orders that are customized or specially configured, such as wheels, wheel spacers, gauges with custom color applications, and custom-fit car covers, are also final sale. These items are tailored to individual specifications and cannot be resold as new.

Electronics Return Policy

For most electronics, excluding made-to-order items, we offer a 15-day return policy. This shorter window is due to the nature of electronic components. This return policy is separate from any warranty coverage that may apply after this initial period.

Sales and Pricing

The final price at checkout is the binding sale price. We do not offer refunds or price adjustments for parts that may go on sale after your purchase date, including Black Friday sales. Pricing fluctuations are a normal part of retail, and our checkout price is honored at the time of sale.

Restocking and Processing Fees

Returns that are not due to product defect or error on our part, and fall under categories like customer preference changes, fitment issues arising from vehicle modifications, or incorrect item orders, are subject to restocking and processing fees. Specifically:

  • A 25% restocking fee will be applied.
  • A 3% credit card processing fee will be deducted if the original payment was made via credit card.

Additional manufacturer restocking fees may apply to custom items if they exceed 25%. To qualify for a refund, all returned items must be in factory-sealed, unused, and unopened condition, if applicable. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for a refund under these conditions. Items returned not meeting these “red-highlighted” conditions will not be refunded and will be considered used. Customers will be responsible for arranging and paying for the return shipping of such items, including providing a tracking number. We strongly recommend insuring all returns, as damages during return shipping are the customer’s responsibility. Damaged returns will not be credited or replaced.

Defective or Damaged Items

Items arriving defective or damaged are eligible for replacement. In such cases, a return shipping label may be issued at the discretion of Maverick Man Inc. and/or the manufacturer, assessed on a case-by-case basis. However, all items MUST BE RETURNED before a replacement or refund is processed. Customers are responsible for filing any damage claims with the shipping carrier immediately upon receipt to document the damage. Please refer to any specific Terms and Conditions included with your sale for further details. Maverick Man Inc. is not responsible for initiating the initial damage claim with the shipping company. Subsequent follow-up on damaged part claims will be handled by Maverick Man Inc. or the Manufacturer, depending on the product.

Exchanges and Incorrect Orders

Shipping costs for exchanges or returns due to incorrectly ordered items are the responsibility of the customer. These shipping fees must be paid before the exchange or replacement item is shipped out.

Warranty Replacements for Defective Products

If a product is deemed defective, a replacement will be issued after review and confirmation by Maverick Man Inc. and/or the Manufacturer. No replacement will be sent until the complete RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process is concluded with Maverick Man Inc. or the Manufacturer. Each manufacturer has its own warranty policies and processing times, which will be considered during the RMA process.

If an item is found to be not defective, or if the damage is due to shipping, production issues outside of Maverick Man Inc. or Manufacturer’s claim policy, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

Original Packaging Requirement

Crucially, do not discard the original packaging until you are completely certain you will not need to return the item. All returns must be shipped back in the original packaging in which they were received. Original packaging includes all boxes, wood supports, bubble wrap, cardboard, plastic wrap, and styrofoam. Returns improperly packaged may be refused or subject to additional fees.

Refunds Processing

Refund requests for reasons other than product defects or errors on our part, including customer remorse, fitment issues from modifications, or ordering mistakes, are subject to specific fees. A 3% surcharge processing fee and a 25% restocking fee will be applied if a product return is necessary. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of purchase. To receive a refund, returned items must be factory sealed, unused, and unopened, if applicable.
